This heifer came from Barb and Wayne Ohlrichs in Nebraska and she is an absolute unit. There is a lot of good to this female and is you are wanting one with a little extra punch, bone and hair then look in here. This one will make one of those high dollar bred heifers I see sell every late december. If you are wanting a unique breeding piece that can show then this is your female. Her mother was Supreme Champion female at the Nebraska state fair.

Great opportunity here. I still can’t believe we’re offering up this donor but I wanted to include a true highlight in our first spring genetics sale and here she is! Blu is a THF/PHAF Monopoly daughter and a proven producer around here that flushes extremely well. She is an absolute beast of a cow and honestly doesn’t even fit through our squeeze chute anymore she is so stout. At 9 years old she looks like a true club calf donor should look. One of the best animals we’ve ever raised was an IGWT steer out of her that was the Champion Feeder Steer at the Gallia County Fair in 2019. That calf sold to Brandon Horn in the fall and was apparently very popular with visitors there, as I had a couple people tell me that they had seen that calf and were very high on him. Unfortunately he never got shown thanks to the corona. Another IGWT heifer out of Blu was a pasture favorite around here as a calf and sold in the spring of 2020. She’s also raised a No Worries heifer that was a competitive show heifer for the Evans family, along with a Getcha Some steer that sold for 4250 in 2021, and even put a heifer in the sale that was out of the Angus clean up bull one year. Her COD heifer from 2022 is an absolute unit and as a baby was my favorite market heifer that we’ve raised. She’s currently in the showbarn with hopes to get shown later this year. We haven’t got to put many embryos in out of Blu yet, as we don’t have many recips to work with, but do have a pretty large egg bank on her and that is the only reason I’m willing to offer her up. We want someone else to have a chance to utilize her in their program while she is still in working condiiton. Confirmed bred to Chosen 1 and due 3/26/23. This could very well be her best calf yet. We are retaining the rights to one flush on her once she calves. I haven’t tried her to Here I Am yet and I’ll be kicking myself for letting go of her if I don’t get some HIAs out of her in the tank.

328 hasn’t missed for us, which is likely due to her mother 188! 188 raised the steer the Mason family showed in 2021 and 2022 that did a ton of winning and the steer the Schertz family showed at State Fair that was 3rd behind the grand and reserve. This steer has all of the bells and whistles that a show steer needs. If it tells you how we feel about this calf, we flushed his mother back this way and put in 15 eggs for next year…we want more of these!
